Cosmos works extensively with the leading financial institutions in Namibia as local focal head of the French Development Agency’s (AFD) sponsored Sustainable Use of Natural Resources and Energy Financing (SUNREF) facility.  In partnership with FNB, Nedbank and Bank Windhoek, SUNREF works on business & project appraisal, offering technical assistance, and engaging in policy dialogue with the public sector specific to climate change.  Cosmos is also the head of the UNDP Sustainable Development Goals Impact Facility in Namibia.  He has extensive experience working in project management and finance, energy issues, sustainable agriculture, and sustainable tourism.  He previously worked with the French Development Agency’s Innovative Finance for Conservation Facility, was CEO of Renu Energy Namibia, and as a Frontline Manager with Rossing Uranium Limited Processing. He holds a MBA from the University of Cape Town, a B.Sc. in Chemical Sciences from the University of the Western Cape, and was a Mandela Washington Fellow.
