Shubhanan Deshpande

Shubhanan has over 17 years of experience in software development and project management, and is passionate about following the latest trends and practices in technology.  He is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of YourCTO, a software development company in Washington, D.C. that specializes in helping non-technical and early-stage entrepreneurs build affordable, effective software solutions.

He oversees Eos’ technology operations, including strategy, innovation, planning, architecture design, team management and implementation. He is adept at strategic planning, mapping real world needs to technology specifications, and has extensive hands-on experience with many technologies including, but not limited to: Java, Ruby, Javascript, Python, and related frameworks such as Spring, RoR, Angular, and Node. He has delivered scalable B2B, B2C and white-label, cloud-based (Saas) solutions and mobile apps (hybrid, Android, and iOS), in a wide variety of sectors and verticals and for clients ranging from nonprofits and small startups to large enterprise companies.  Prior to starting YourCTO, Shubhanan founded Beacon Tech Labs, which provided innovative technology solutions and strategic consulting to a wide range of corporate clients, primarily in the education and e-commerce spaces.  Before starting Beacon, Shubhanan was a senior project lead at Talentica Software in Pune, India, which works with startup companies around the world.  He has also worked at the Ohio State University Medical Center, where he designed a reusable technology solution to help aid the work of cancer researchers.  Before joining Ohio State, he worked as a part of the Yahoo! Search team, where he helped with monetized solutions serving over a million users, and on the Stem Network initiative undertaken by BHEF (a group of Fortune 500 leaders) and Raytheon, Inc. He has a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science from The Ohio State University (Columbus OH) and a Bachelors in Computer Science from The College of Engineering, Pune.
